LIFTS
Lifts have always been an important reference market for Starcell. Over the years, we have experimented with many technological solutions and perfected products that have also been applied in other fields. Thanks to the experience gained in contact with the largest multinational groups, strongly focused on cost saving objectives and improving logistics organization, Starcell has been able to develop valuable technological know-how and a business organization that is definitely oriented towards customer satisfaction. The production of a variety of series, consisting of a very wide range of product codes to manage very efficiently and within stringent deadlines, has therefore become part of the company’s operating model.
Lift cabins
Production flexibility (honeycomb and solid-core panels), an automated warehouse, and the ability to rapidly produce even small quantities (just- in- time) has allowed Starcell to become one of the main suppliers of sandwich panels for the most important companies worldwide that produce elevator systems and cabins.
Moreover, the ability to offer alternative solutions to conventional production, also for self supporting structures, has contributed to Starcell’s success with small sized constructors who use a variety of different types of materials with extremely variable sizes.
Walls, floors and ceilings
Honeycomb panels have proven to be the best solution to make large cabin walls. Its use has two main advantages: it reduces the cost of the structure, since the honeycomb panel bears port of the mechanical strain and it can avoid or reduce the number of unsightly joints on the walls, achieving a more contemporary design and greater end user appeal.
Also with regard to floors, Starcell has succeeded in offering its customers a range of technological solutions suitable for any situation. First of all, weight problems have been solved, and secondly, we have developed panel layering techniques to solve problems related to the type of material used for the floor chosen by the designers.
Lastly, with regard to ceilings, Starcell’s solutions have brilliantly solved the limitations of deformation and weight of many finishing materials, which would otherwise be impossible to use without a suitable honeycomb substructure capable of stiffening them.
