In 2024, Starcell S.p.A. has implemented an energy efficiency project at its plant in Calitri (AV) – Z.I Nerico, the expenditure of which has been accounted for the purposes of using the resources of the “PR CAMPANIA FESR 2021-2027 – Priority 2. Energy, Environment and Sustainability – Action 2.1.1. based on the public notice to support businesses in Campania in promoting efficiency and energy saving

Project aims:

• The efficiency of the production system by the installation in the production area of both lighting elements with high-efficiency, low-consumption LED lamps, and of a monitoring system, which allows the continuous consumption of the various users to be known

• The construction of a 501.60 kWp system for the production of energy from RES (photovoltaic system). This system has been sized in such a way as to allow an overall average annual percentage of self-consumption equal to 75% of the energy produced

The photovoltaic system, associated with the use of LED lighting, allows for an estimated emission saving of almost 200 tons of CO2/year.
